At Project Expeditions, we invite you to embark on an extraordinary journey to some of the world’s most captivating and lesser-known regions.
Our mission is to create exceptional travel experiences for the discerning explorer –
Taking you off the beaten path and into the heart of authentic cultural and natural wonders.
Unveiling Hidden Gems with Off the Beaten Path Exploration
At Project Expeditions, we pride ourselves on venturing beyond the well-trodden tourist trails to unveil hidden gems that still possess a truly special allure.
We seek to challenge and inspire you by immersing you in the genuine essence of a country, allowing you to step slightly outside of your comfort zone and embrace the true nature of your destination.
We travel to remote lands and meet some of the most intriguing and least visited peoples in the world, and in some cases, we push the boundaries of adventure travel.
We also thrive on showcasing the lesser known areas of more familiar destinations, allowing you to experience them through a different lens.
For us this is real travel –
Exciting, unknown, rewarding and utterly captivating.
Superlative Travel Experiences: Curated by Experienced Explorers
At Project Expeditions we strive in providing superlative travel experiences that can rarely be found elsewhere.
Our staff are all highly experienced with many years of travel in remote destinations under their belts. We’re enormously excited about the trips that we offer and often have based these on some of our own favourite experiences.
Our wealth of personal experience is invaluable in showing you some of the truly forgotten corners of this world.
Beyond Sightseeing: Embracing the Essence of a Place
Our philosophy recognises that there is more to travel than simply ticking off sights.
Each of our tours is different but we will always include the highlights of the destinations that we’re visiting, combined with some of the lesser known but equally fascinating sites.
Our itineraries are the result of careful selection and thorough research because we understand that the little and unexpected elements can transform a good trip into an extraordinary one.
Whenever possible, we offer flexibility to adapt our itineraries to local circumstances, like visiting a nearby festival or local market.
All our itineraries have been given careful attention to ensure that the niggles that are often associated with travel in out of the way places are ironed out as much as possible before you arrive.
Immersive Travel & Stepping Outside Your Comfort Zone
It’s important to note that our tours are not luxury trips; they are small group adventure tours tailored for mature travellers.
We also offer tailor-made holiday options to accommodate individual preferences and interests. In some of the countries we operate in, tourism is still in its infancy or may have faced setbacks due to recent events.
Even though our tours are designed with mature travellers in mind, you need to be aware that getting off the beaten track means vehicles often won’t be able to stop at the doorstep, you may need to carry your bag up a flight or two of stairs, accommodation standards can vary and some travel days may have to be a bit longer than expected.
While we strive to maintain high standards, there may be instances where you encounter discomfort, inconvenience, or frustration. It’s crucial that you approach these countries with an open mind and an acceptance of their realities.
Value without Compromising Quality
We understand that although you want value for money this should not translate into a loss of quality. We aim to provide you with a realistic experience of your destination rather than offer you the cheapest trip around.
At Project Expeditions it is important to us that we use locally owned accommodation and locally based guides wherever possible, so your tourist spend stays local, benefiting the communities and people that you visit.
