Mongolia + Golden Eagle Festival Adventure

This is an adventurous journey that takes us across the Gobi Desert and the vast Mongolian Steppe to the majestic river valleys of the Altai Mountains.

• Attend Mongolia’s Golden Eagle Festival to discover the unique culture of the nomadic Kazakh people passed down over thousands of years in remote Western Mongolia
• Explore the geological marvels such as the Tsagaan Survagan (White Stupa) & Flaming Cliffs
• The ‘Singing Sands’ of Khongor Sand Dunes and local Nomad family visit.
• Follow the path of Mongolian history from dinosaur fossils, ancient Rock Art, Buddhist monasteries to the fallen capital of Genghis Khan.
• Visit Hustai National Park to learn more about as well as see Takhi, the last remaining wild horse species in the world.
• Meet and learn about the different nomadic cultures of the Central Mongolian and Western Mongolian people.

The roads in Mongolia can be rough and the accommodation in Ger Camps simple. We’ve designed this itinerary to make things as comfortable as possible. We will travel in Toyota Landcruiser (or similar) 4×4’s or with 3-4 travellers in each + a driver and ger camps used are those that offer the better facilities with options in some places to upgrade.
Accommodation in Ulaanbaatar and Ulgii (Golden Eagle Festival) will be in hotels elsewhere we stay in tourist Ger Camps.
